Matthew's practice includes commercial litigation, oil and gas, and white-collar criminal defense and corporate internal investigations. Working with law partner P.K. Holmes, he defended a corporate executive facing trial for his alleged role in hiring undocumented workers at a large food processing company. After a seven-week trial, the jury acquitted the executive on all counts. The case was the most significant immigration case in the country involving one of the world's largest food processing companies. P.K. and Matthew also represented a major corporation in a federal grand jury investigation involving the use of outside contractors to perform janitorial services nationwide. Matthew currently represents a major corporation in complex litigation, document discovery, compliance with government requests for information, and corporate internal investigations.
Matthew also represents a local utility and a significant natural gas production company in the region in matters ranging from eminent domain, well site issues, and lease cancellation to ratepayer and royalty owner complex litigation.
Matthew is an avid fisherman and loves his fishing camp in the saltwater flats in south Louisiana - close to his law school alma mater, Tulane Law School. See www.redfishlouisiana.com.
