Warner-Smith-Harris PLC

The life of the law has not been logic: it has been experience. It is the spirit and not the form of law that keeps justice alive. A trial is the resolution of a dispute. Wherever Law ends, Tyranny begins. I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution. The clearest way to show what the rule of law means to us in everyday life is to recall what has happened when there is no rule of law. The law is reason, free from passion. The law: it has honored us; may we honor it.

Daniel has been with the firm since 2004. He is one of the many attorneys at the firm who participated in Warner, Smith & Harris' Summer Clerk Program. He has been a practicing attorney with the firm since 2005. Prior to attending law school, Daniel obtained a business degree from the University of Oklahoma's School of Business. For the next three years, Daniel worked in both the technology and advertising industry. His business experience has allowed him to diversify his law practice into a unique mix of transaction and litigation work.

In addition to being both a transactional attorney and a litigation attorney, Daniel splits his practice between states. Daniel is one of the few attorneys in the firm who are licensed to practice law in both Oklahoma and Arkansas. Daniel has lived in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma for more than thirty years and, as a result, he understands the importance of knowing the law of both states.

Daniel's litigation work focuses on civil matters involving both businesses and individuals and he represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil issues, including general business disputes, personal injury, and employment and real estate matters.

The transactional portion of Daniel's practice focuses on real estate and corporate law. He has planned, negotiated and documented a complete array of real property transactions and supporting documentation, including purchase and sale transactions, lease agreements and the development of a variety of limited liability companies (LLCs). Daniel also has extensive experience in the field of real estate development, including establishing the corporate business, negotiating, drafting and revising initial real estate contracts, leases, or employment contracts.
